In early 2020, a spirited chat about the game and tech ecosystem compelled us to join forces with a vision: 

 

  • Be a unifying presence to support myriad initiatives for Canadian game developers & interactive creatives through resources and expertise.

  • Amplify efforts to create more equitable, diverse, and inclusive spaces for creative technology workers.

  • Forge strong relationships with creators around the world to promote innovative business approaches grounded in management science.

Our Name

The name Respeccd reflects a duality:

 

Respec:  refers to the ability to re-roll your character, relying on your experience and strategic sense to max out your abilities.

Respect: well, you know... 

​

Our activities also have two distinct aspects. What we’ve dubbed our Collective Side encompasses the work in achieving our vision. We are also working on our own original projects through our Creative Side.
